Matthew Turner

Native to Lowville, NY; Lewis County
Matthew has been Involved in Wilderness care for 20+ years. Took his first Wilderness First Aid training as a camper at summer camp. In 2005 Matthew became a EMT in 2005 while still in high school, and has held certification in NY, MA and as an NREMT.
He has worked at various City and Urban EMS Agencies working 911 Service, as well as worked as Health Director for local summer camp for a number of years and as an on-site medical provider for a residential overnight environmental science program; Nature's Classroom for a few semesters.
In addition, he became an emergency care Instructor in 2011 to help provide better access to training to the community

Now, Matt resides in the Mohawk Valley with his wife and 2 children. Recertifying NYS EMT and plan to return to EMS on a Part-time basis. He will be planning to continue his Instructor Development and develop community outreach classes to increase community CPR & First Aid Training and Preparedness.

William Liddell,

Native to Oneonta NY Otsego County
William started Emergency services when he was 14 as a law enforcement explorer with the City of Oneonta Police Department , and The City of Oneonta Fire Department. He started in the fire explorers program a year later. During his years in school in the Oneonta City School District, he belonged to the Boy Scouts of America achieving many badges making his way from wolf all the way to 2nd class scout.

He was also a member of the Oneonta City School District School Safety Patrol program where he played many sports such as, youth roller hockey, basketball, football, soccer, and baseball. William was also a Saxophone and trumpet player in band In 2004.

When his grandfather died, he was given the honor of playing Taps for him as he was a WWII US Army Veteran. In 2001 William started his EMT at the age of 17. In 2002 he left the Oneonta Fire Department Explorers and became a Volunteer Firefighter with West Oneonta Fire Department where he held rank as lieutenant and received many certifications in rescue, ems, and firefighting.

In addition, William, also hold many FEMA certifications. In 2003 finished he finished his EMT and later became EMS Captain of his First Response unit. After receiving his EMT he worked for many 911 EMS companies in CNY where he would hold field trainer status.

In 2008 William obtained his PA EMT certification. In 2008 William married and had his daughter in December 2008. Starting in 2010 he adopted his step daughter and moving into 2013 he moved to Carlisle PA where he started working for Silver Spring Ambulance in Mechanicsburg PA. This was a 911 service where he became a field trainer there as well as an AHA BLS instructor. He received multiple company medals/rewards while working here.

After 5 years with the company and a life change William moved back to Oneonta NY with his youngest daughter and started a new career as a Propane Service Tech with Amerigas propane and started running again with the fire company in 2019.

Today William live in Little Falls NY with his 2 children and currently work for Ferrell gas as a Propane Service Tech. William still hold EMT status in PA and rectifying his NYS EMT.
